About
"Art is not a thing, it is a way" - Ethert Hubbard.
Ann Louise Musgrave has been drawing and painting ever since she was a small child in Warren NSW where she was born. After moving to Dubbo, where she married and raised her family, she continued her art and attended studies at TAFE. She then moved to Wollongong where she completed her studies and now resides.
Ann Louise's approach to art has been described as exploratory and experimental. She is a seeker and a romantic and is always searching for the extra level of meaning in her work. She often pushes herself beyond her comfort zone by using alternative approaches, materials and media. Her work has now evolved to be mostly mixed media, a fusion of drawing, painting and collage. Women, nature and the world around her are recurring themes.
Ann Louise's work is held in many private and corporate collections around the country. She has a Diploma in Fine Arts, ran her own children's art classes for a number of years and has participated in many combined and solo exhibitions.
